Olive

Olive is a delivery and returns service designed to make e-commerce more eco-friendly. With 25 years into e-commerce, the way we receive and return items hadn’t changed too much, until Olive elevated this process with their mission of eliminating single-use packaging. Through partnering with leading and emerging retailers, Olive brings eco-friendly delivery to their customers.

The Challenge

In March of 2020, Olive was referred to White Prompt by a previous client in hopes of finding a team of engineers in a similar time zone that could partner with their team to bring their vision to life. With their mission in mind, Olive wanted to find a team of strong engineers that understood how to solve the type of business challenges at hand. The Olive team wanted to build a scalable, extensible, proprietary solution that would allow for growth and quick adaptability, while also reducing their carbon footprint and becoming more sustainable.

The solution

For this development-centric project, White Prompt assigned one project manager, eight developers and 1 Product Design team member to the Olive team to work side-by-side to define the product, architecture, and methodology. Together, the team built out a consumer web app, iOS app, and a suite of operational and retailer tools.

Impact

White Prompt assisted Olive in elevating the process of e-commerce shipping and returns, leading to a reduced C02 footprint and a more unified, simple user-experience for Olive shoppers.
